WELCOME TO Kings Square

Kings Square is one big hit of nostalgia for the 80s and 90s. From movie classics to Cool Britannia, live music, a mini street food market and vintage clothing, this is an area not to be missed during Gloucester Goes Retro. The whole square will embrace the feel of the 80s and 90s, celebrating the films, TV shows, music, culture and cars of these decades. So, step back to the future, pull on your leg warmers and deeley boppers, and pop on down to Kings Square.

The famous ECTO-1 car from the classic 1980s film Ghostbusters is coming to Kings Square. The Cadillac Miller-Meteor limo-style endloader combination car is a perfect copy of the film' original. There will also be a 13ft Stay Puft man keeping an eye over the square. Hopefully the Ghostbusters can keep him under control!

Activities on offer including badge making, 80s and 90s fortune teller origami and a retro games area.

Live Music

Live music provided by The Music Works will feature DJs playing 80's/90's classics and a UK Garage set.

Breakdance experts Your Next Move will be putting on a display of hip-hop and breakdancing.
